Capital One Arena is undergoing a multi-phase renovation to modernize the venue and secure the long-term home of the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals in Washington, DC. The project runs through summer 2027 and delivers major technology upgrades, new premium hospitality spaces, expanded concessions and restrooms, wider concourses, and enhanced athlete facilities, including upgraded locker rooms and training areas.

Uniqlo is opening a new flagship location on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, replacing the former Under Armour space. The store marks Uniqlo’s return to the corridor after closing its previous Michigan Avenue location in 2021 and will reintroduce the brand’s signature basics along with in-store customization services such as embroidery.

Opening in September 2026 in Los Angeles’s Exposition Park, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a new cultural institution founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson that explores visual storytelling across all media. The museum brings together fine art, comics, film, digital art, and pop culture, featuring works by artists such as Norman Rockwell, Frida Kahlo, and Jack Kirby, alongside George Lucas’s film archives, to examine how images shape memory and connect people through storytelling.
